WEDDING BELLS

Marriage of Mr. W.A. Sanford and Miss Maud Tiel Last Evening

An event looked forward to with pleasure and most pleasingly consummated took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Tiel last evening, being the marriage of their only daughter, Maud, to Mr. W.A. Sanford. The ceremony took place at 6:30, in the presence of about twenty-five invited friends of the contracting parties, Rev. Mr. Ferris officiating. The house was handsomely decorated with flowers, and the bay window, where the couple stood, was a perfect bowery, with smilax, cut roses and geraniums in profusion. The bride’s wedding gown was a rich and bewitching costume of white morie silk, made en train and trimmed in Duchess lace. As the couple marched to their place unattended, the wedding march was played by Miss Florence Lewis. After the ceremony most hearty congratulations were offered and a bountiful wedding repast was served. Mr. and Mrs. Sanford departed for the east on the 8:40 train, and the bridal tour will include a trip to New York and other prominent cities.

The groom is the well-known vice president of the First National Bank of this city, with which concerns he has been connected for many years. He is possessed of social and business qualities which make him worthy the heart and hand of one so charming and accomplished as his new-made bride, who has here grown up from childhood, and is esteemed and admired by a host of friends. May the life so auspiciously entered upon be one of unalloyed happiness and prosperity.
