An event we are pleased to chronicle is the marriage of Mr. D.A. Kramer and Miss Ida Eshleman, which took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Eshleman, in Cherokee on Wednesday evening, January 10, 1889. The ceremony was performed at 8 o’clock by Rev. J. MacAllister, pastor of the Presbyterian church and witnessed by the members of the family and one or two intimate friends only. Mr. Kramer is a well-to-do tiller of the soil whose home is in Washington county, Kansas. He is a gentleman every way worthy of the heart and hand of one of Cherokee’s fairest and best daughters, and our people will agree that he has secured a wife whose good womanly qualities and charming manner ought to make any man happy. Mr. and Mrs. Kramer left yesterday for Brown county, Kansas, for a visit with Mr. Kramer’s parents, after which they go to enjoy the happiness that shall come to them in their own Kansas home. This office acknowledges receipt of a box of choice delicacies from the wedding supper table.
