AND ED AND EVA WERE WED.

Marriage of Mr. E.D. Huxford and Miss Eva Biddle on Thursday last.

An event that is a pleasure to chronicle is the marriage of Mr. E.D. Huxford and Miss Eva Biddle, which took place on Thursday evening last at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Beal. The ceremony was performed at 8 o’clock by Rev. J.W. MacAllister, in the presence of the near relatives of the contracting parties only. After the wedding supper the happy couple left for Chicago, intending to spend about three weeks in a trip around the lakes at Detroit and other points in Michigan. After October 20th they will be "at home" to their friends in their newly competed home in the addition.

The friends of this estimable couple could not refrain from remembering them on this occasion, and a number of very elegant presents found their way to the Beal home. Flowers in great profusion were also sent. The bride’s costume was of gold brown cloth, tailor made, with hat and gloves to match.

Both of these young people have spent most of their lives in Cherokee and do not need an introduction now. As to their good qualities our testimony is not needed. Suffice to say they start out in live under most auspicious circumstances, and our best wishes go with those of a host of others for their future happiness.
