BEARD-MATTHEWS

At Lincoln, Neb., Monday, Feb. 24, 1890, Rev. Mr. Curtis, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Mr. A.R. Beard of Lincoln and Miss Alice S. Matthews of Cherokee.

The many friends of both the contracting parties here and elsewhere will be pleased to congratulate them on this event. The bride is the daughter of our respected townsman Peter Matthews, and has for some time been engaged in Mr. Wilkie’s grocery store. The groom is also quite well known here, having formerly been in the employ of Stiles & Foot. They will make their home at Lincoln.
