Johnston-Van Horn

The marriage of Rev. W.G. Johnson and Miss Laura VanHorn occurred at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. VanHorn, in this city at 6 o’clock last evening. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W.L. Ferris in the presence of the members of the family and a few friends. The groom is pastor of the Congregational church at Peterson and is spoken of as one well worthy to carry off one of Cherokee’s accomplished young ladies. The couple will remain in Cherokee a few days before going to Peterson to battle with the realities of life and do good for mankind, The best wishes of a host of friends will follow them.
