A Notable Wedding Event

Meriden, Feb. 22-One of the most enjoyable events of the season took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Noble Feb. 16th, being the marriage of their daughter Hattie, to Mr. Eugene Lieurance. About forty invited guests were present to witness the ceremony. At 8 o’clock Rev. H.E. Higbee performed the ceremony in a very impressive manner, and after congratulations and many good wishes, we were invited into the dining room, where a most excellent supper awaited us. After all had eaten, we spent the evening very pleasantly in joyous conversation, and listening to good music and before we thought about time passing so rapidly, the clock struck 12. The bride is one of the choicest young ladies of this community, and the groom is Meriden’s popular blacksmith.
