James A. Forbes died in October 1963 and not November. I did locate his obituary, however.

PLYMOUTH - J. A. (Fred) Forbes, 91, died Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Carrie Leach here. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Methodist Church. Burial be in Plymouth Cemetery with Bride's Funeral Home in charge. Born Nov. 27, 1871, at Ft Wayne, Ind., he was the son of Harry and Jennie Forbes. He was employed as a railroad engineer from 1892 to 1935. He was married to Elizabeth Dunaway at Rockwell City in 1892. She died in 1910. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lois Miles, Long Beach, Calif.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
