Mads P. Petersen Rites Conducted at Funeral Chapel
Funeral services for Mads P. (Max) Petersen, 73, who died Friday at a Mason City hospital, following a heart attack, were held Monday afternoon at the Major Memorial Chapel. The Rev. S. E. Peterson, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiated. Mrs. Douglas Fields was soloist; Mrs. Roy Servison, organist. Mrs. Arthur Bodell and Mrs. Henry A. Peterson were in charge of flowers. Members of IOOF Lodge 224 Mason City and Local 21 Brick Masons Union, Mason City, attended the services in groups. Pallbearers were W. J. Hart, Oliver Repp, Alfred Aastrup, Harry J. Hanson, Henry A. Peterson and George A. Schriver. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mads Petersen, 73, Succumbs to Heart AttackMads Petersen, 73, 2103 S. Federal, died suddenly Friday morning as he was admitted to a Mason
City hospital. Death was caused by a heart attack suffered in front of the First National Bank, according to Dr. J. E. Christopherson, coroner. Mr. Petersen was born April 28, 1882.
