In Response To: looking for death date (Aspasia Luster)

My suggestion is that since newspapers for Iowa are on microfilm and may be obtained via Interlibrary loan at your local library, chances are that the whole month of April is on one roll of film. You or your local libarian could ask the State Historical Society whether that is true and order the film very reasonably. It would take a few minutes of going through the obits each day but once you started you could do this search in less than an hour. This route is cheaper than getting a death certificate search.

You could also see if the Genealogical society would do a lookup. Perhaps they have an indexed card file for the 1970's at the Mason City Public Library.

Good luck
