Attack of Heart Disease Is Fatal to Woman Born Here in 1864
Mrs. Frank McCormick, 65 years of age, died suddenly at her home, 1301 Fourth street southeast, Wednesday night from an attack of heart disease. She was retiring for the night when she suffered the attack and fell across the foot of her bed. She died five minutes later. Funeral arrangements have not been made, pending word from daughters in California. The body is now at the Randall funeral home.
Born in Mason City, Mrs. McCormick, whose maiden name was Ella Curtis, was born July 28, 1864, in Mason City. She resided here until about 32 years ago, when she went to Los Angeles where she lived for 12 years. She was married Dec. 30, 1886, to Frank McCormick. After returning to Mason City Mr. McCormick operated a grocery store on Fourth street southeast.
Had Several Relatives.
Mrs. McCormick is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Joe Formaneck, Sacramento, Cal., and Mrs. Charica Moon, Azusa, Cal.; two sisters. Mrs. Joseph Conn, Burchinal, and Mrs. Lula Hite, Chelan, Wash.; one brother, Fred Curtis, Wallowa, Ore.; three nephews. Clarence Conn, Deputy Sheriff Walter Conn and Howard Conn, Mason City, and a niece, Mrs. Fred Grange, Ruthven. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Royal Neighbors lodge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank M. McCormick, 65 years of age., 1301 Fourth street southeast, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church. The Rev. Jewel L. Pickett will be in charge. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery. Members of the Royal Neighbor lodge will meet at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Eagle's hall and go to the church in a group to attend the services. The body will lie in state at the Randall funeral home until 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, when it will be taken to the church to lie in state until the services are held. Among those who survive Mrs. McCormick are Milo Curtis, Oakland, Cal., William Curtis, Mason City, nephews, and Ardeen Warden and Ella Perkins, both of Los Angeles, nieces.
