George S. C. Andrick, 80, retired vice president and manager of the appliance department of Curries Hardware, died Tuesday morning in a Mason City hospital. He had lived in Mason City 64 years and made his home at 943 6th Place SE. Mr. Andrick was born Jan. 29, 1884, in Pennsylvania, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Andrick. He moved to McGregor at an early age and came to Mason City in 1900. He began his employment with Curries Hardware in 1902, and continued with the company 58 years until his retirement in 1960. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the First Methodist Church and the Iowa Retail Hardware Association. Mr. Andrick was married to Mary C. Caltron in Minneapolis, Minn. She preceded him in death in 1961. He was also preceded in death by an infant son and two sisters. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Keith (Joan) Lotebour, Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Scott) Forbes, Minneapolis. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Major Memorial Chapel. Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Roger Russell, pastor of St. Timothy Methodist Church, Cedar Falls. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Christopherson, Cerro Gordo County Medical Examiner, said death was due to natural causes and had occurred during the night. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the PEO, Monday Club, Family Service Board, the East State Street Club, the 6061 Woman's Club and the Wa-Tan-Ye Club.Surviving are her husband, daughter, Mrs. Keith (Joan) Loterbour, Mason City; three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Francis Tatum, Nora Springs, and Alice Sanford, Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by two sisters and an infant son. The family asked that any memorials be given to memorial funds. Friends may call at the Major - Erickson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. George (Mary C.) Andrick, who died Friday, were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church. Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Roger Russell of the First Methodist Church, Sioux City, officiated. Harry Ross was soloist, Mrs. Earl E. Ehlers, organist. Ushers at the church were Ralph Diercks and Lloyd N. Cummings. Members of the P.E.O., Monday Club, Wa-Tan-Ye Club and Family Service and the employees of Curries Hardware attended the services in groups. Pallbearers were Carl H. Carlson, A. J. Rhulasel, Earl F. Statzer, A. E. Smith, Howard E. Dodge and Howard E. Jackson. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. The Major-Erickson Funeral Home was in charge.
