Thomas Charles Tyler, 77, died Sunday morning at a Mason City hospital. He had lived in Mason City 70 years and had been living at the Good Samaritan Home.
Mr. Tyler was born June 20, 1884, at Cedar Rapids, son of Lewis W. and Kelsey (Boone) Tyler. He came to Mason City in 1891, and was a banker until 1920. He was then employed by the Milwaukee Road until he retired in 1951.
He was married to Grace Stratton in Mason City in 1909. She preceded him in death in 1910. He is survived by no relatives.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Visitaion is at the Patterson-James Funeral Chapel after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services for Thomas C. Tyler, 77, who died Sunday, were held Wednesday at the Patterson-James Chapel. The Rev. Floyd R. Bacon, assistant superintendent at the Good Samaritan Home, officiated. Pallbearers were Overton Burrell, Roy Bailey, Claude Stalling, Jesse Stewart, Jess Parker and Richard Golden. Burial was in the Manly Cemetery.
