Everett C. Dougherty rites set

A requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Wednesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. BREEN as the celebrant, for Everett C. DOUGHERTY, 79, who died Monday [January 15, 1964]. He formerly lived at 721 N. Washington.

He was born Sept. 7, 1898, at Dougherty, to Charles and Ellen (KENNEDY) DOUGHERTY. He attended St. Patrick's School in Dougherty and worked in that area until World War I. He is a veteran of that war.

In 1934, he came to Mason City, and was employed at Jacob E. DECKER & SOns and the American Crystal Sugar Co. He retired in 1945.

He was married to Mamie HALL on Jan. 2, 1936, at Farley. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

The parish rosary was set to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hogans Colonial Chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David E. (Mary Ellen) GENRICH, Rosemont, Minn.; Sister Mary Sheila Ann, PBVM, Osage; one granddaughter; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes EALY, Mason City; Mrs. Rose RIGGINS, Dougherty, and Mrs. Ralph (Lenore) HOGAN, Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one grandson and three sisters.

Pallbearers selected ae Edmund RIGGINS, Raymond HOGAN, Robert McDONOUGH, Jim BARRAGY, Robert KOLBACH and Everett NIXT. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dougherty.
