Obituary - Clement C. "Clem" Ewen

Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, October 21, for Clem EWEN, 52, who died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Mason City, Rev. John F. THORNTON will officiate at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty. Burial will be at St. Patricks Cemetery, Dougherty. Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, Mason City, is in charge of arrangements.

Clement C. EWEN was born April 14, 1924, in Floyd County, the son of Jacob and Helen (McKIGNER) EWEN, and farmed in the Dougherty area all his life. He married Lillian DAVIS February 1, 1947, at Holy Name Church, Mason City.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; three sons, Dennis, Surfside Beach, South Carolina; Don, Nora Springs; and Gary, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Rosemary) SHAW ENDICOTT, New York; and Lorena, at home; two grandchildren, three brothers, Walt of Algona; Leo of Clear Lake, Ed of Davenport;, four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Hanna) JANSEN, Rockford; Mrs. Vern (Katie) MERFELD, Greene, Mrs. Emil (Helen) ENGEIUS, Rockford; Mrs. Francis (Agnes) FOXEN, Rockford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter [Catherine] in infancy, one brother and one sister.
