Death of Rev. E. H. Tenny.
C. W. Tenney on Monday morning received a telegram announcing the death of his son, Rev. E. H. Tenney, at
Artesia, Cal. Mr. Tenney went to California last July and letters received from him stated that he was getting along nicely, his health had much improved and he had strong hopes of full restoration. About two weeks before he died he was breaking a broncho which jerked him about considerable and started a hemmorrhage from
the effects of which he died. He leaves a wife and one child. He was thirty-one years old and was born in Cerro
Gordo county. He commenced a course in the Iowa Agricultural College at Ames but his health failed him and
he was obliged to leave school. He was a young minister with a very promising future and his sudden demise
brings sadness to the hearts of all those who knew him. It is expected that memorial services will be held for
the deceased at the Camp Ground near Parker’s mill, by the Free Methodist Conference on Sunday next at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to attend.-Mason City Gazette.
