Mrs. Willis P. (Laura E.) Harris, 82, died Monday April 21, 1986 at a Mason City hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church Mason City, Iowa.
The Rev. Charles Q. Wallace will officiate, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.Mrs. Harris was born Jan. 7, 1904, at Green City, Mo., to Harrison and Mary Rosella (Sears) Bailey. She came to Mason City with her family at an early age, and attended Mason City schools.
She married Willis P. Harris on Oct. 9, 1923, at Mason City. She attended and gradrated Hamilton Business College here in 1927. She served as a medical secretary for Dr. C.E. Chenoweth for a number of years. During WW II she assisted her husband in the operation of the Harris DX Service Station at 121 S. Washington, Mason City, Iowa.
She was a longime member of First United Methodist Church, and was a member and seved as treasurer of the WSG (We Serve God) Guild. She served on the administrative board of First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon Thursday until 9 a.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home Mason City. The casket will be closed at the church.
