Mason City- Mary Eleanor Mineart, 77, of 423 Sixth St. N.W., died Sunday (April 21, 1996) at her home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. Raymond Burkle officating. Burial will be in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel 126 Third St. N.E., where a Scriptual wake service will be held at 7 p.m.Mary Eleanor Mineart was born May 10, 1918, at Dougherty, the daughter of Charles Arthur and Julia Ann (Zweck) Mullin.
She attended schools in Dougherty and graduated from St. Patrick's High School, Dougherty.She received her nursing diploma from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1939. She was a registered nurse on staff at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Mineart was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Celeste Circle at church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Joan of Arc #152, Mason City, and St. Joseph School of
Nursing Alumni Association.Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Moroney of Des Moines, and Lori Thompson, of Camarillo, Calif.; two sons, Paul Mineart of Des Moines, and Steve Mineart of Mason City; four grandsons, Michael Moroney, Timothy Moroney, Joseph Moroney and Brendan Thompson; two granddaughters, Mallorie Thompson and Catherine Mineart; one great-grandson, Michael Mineart; and
one great-granddaughter, Kayla Mineart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alvin in 1962; one son, David Mineart; and one brother, Louis Mullin.
