Elizabeth, the little child of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Guthries, of Mason City, died on the C., M. & St. P. train en route from Sioux City to Mason City. The child was not well when Mrs. Guthrie left Sioux City but the physicians thought her condition was not serious. Mr. Guthrie is superintendent of construction for Mercy hospital and the wife and child were coming to spend the summer. Father Dougherty buried the little child in the Catholic cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Guthrie. She was born Aug. 4, 1913 and died April 17, 1915. She is buried in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery.
