A. Dixon dies at 65; rites set

Arthur Dixon, 65, Route 3, Mason City, retired area farmer, died Thursday (6 May 1971) at a Mason city hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Wesley United Methodist Church.

He lived in the area for 30 years. Mr. Dixon was born Sept. 19, 1905, in Atlantic, the son of Archie and Ella (Behl) Dixon. He married Gladys Nicolet, Feb. 6, 1937, in Mason City.

He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Delton (LeAnn Torkelson) Dixon, Route 3, Mason City; and three grandchildren, Jeff, Sara, and Kari.

The Rev. Howard Palmer, pastor of Wesley Church, will officiate. Soloist will be Warren Torkelson and organist will be Mrs. John Tidball.

Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Thornton.

Friends may call at the Patterson James Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Monday and prior to services at the church.
