Maurice Laubenthal, 68, died Thursday (Jan. 18, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Bormann officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 2:30 p.m. today at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, where a rosary will be held at 3 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Maurice Laubenthal was born May 31, 1927, in Whittemore.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite; three daughters, Marie Laubenthal of Ankeny, Beverly Ramker of Rudd, and Coleen Laubenthal of Manchester; three sons, Ambrose Laubenthal, Vern Laubenthal and Gary Laubenthal, all of Wesley; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Regina Kaiser of Algona, Imelda Krieger of Mason City and Irma Gindling of Cedar Falls; and one brother, Merle Laubenthal of Whittemore.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
