AXELSEN – Morris "Cliff" Axelsen born in Clear Lake, IA. April 17, 1918 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away on November 10, 2000, holding the hand of his beloved wife, Marie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (1991), sister, Maxine Axelsen, and parents, Chris and Dora Axelsen. His wife, Marie, daughter, Nandis Axelsen, brothers, Max Axelsen and wife, Margaret and Chris Axelsen and wife, Donna survive him; he is also survived by stepchildren, Ronald Willingham and wife, A. J., Wayne Willingham and wile, Virginia, Dr. Bryan Euler and wife, Barbara, Janet Walters and husband, David. Mark Euler, Shelley Beaudet and husband, Matthew; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a multitude of cherished friends.

Cliff retired from the US Navy having served in WWII and the Korean conflict, and had been a Shriner and was a member of the FRA club and the American Legion Post 49. He loved the UNM Lobos, golf and fishing. Cliff had lived a full life becoming ill with cancer, July of this year. Cliff's warmth, zest for life, and fighting spirit will be long remembered and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. William Abeyta, many caring Lovelace healthcare professionals, and friends who have helped them thru this difficult time.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2000 at the Kirtland Air Force Base East Chapel. Metropolitan Direct Burial and Cremation Center, Inc. are handling cremation arrangements.
