The body of E. C. Brainard, who was for many years a passenger conductor on the I. &. D. division, and for many years also a resident of Calmar, passed through here recently from Wisconsin, where he died, to Mason City for interment.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery and was born in 1850 and died Aug. 30, 1901.
