Funeral of Dorothy Ormsby To Be Held Wednesday
At St. Patrick;s.

DOUGHERTY- Oct. 8- The body of Miss Dorothy Ormsby 21, Dougherty, who was killed in an automobile accident Sunday evening near Manchester, has been brought to Dougherty and funeral services have been announced. Robert F. Ormsby, father of Miss Ormsby, is in a serious condition in a Manchester hospital.

The accident occurred on Highway 20. Miss Ormsby and her father were returning home after attending the World's fair in Chicago. Their car and an auto drived by Edward F. Morris of Des Moines collided headon.

Other Driver Asleep.

Apparently Morris had fallen asleep and his car was on the wrong side of the highway, officers stated after an investigation. Morris suffered severe head cuts and possible internal injuries.

Miss Ormsby died while being taken to the hospital. She suffered a broken neck and fractured skull. She lived for a half hour after the accident but never regained consciousness. Her father suffered a broken hip and fractured leg. His nose was also broken and his chest injured.

Funeral to Be Wednesday.

Funeral services for Miss Ormsby will be conducted Wednesday morning at St. Patrick's church in Dougherty.

Surviving Miss Ormsby are her parents, two sisters, Mrs Frances Schall of Rockwell and Lucile of Dougherty. She had been employed at the Mercy hospital, Mason City, for the past three years as assistant in the diet kitchen.

Funeral Services Held at Dougherty for Dorothy Ormsby.

DOUGHERTY- Oct.11- St. Patrick's church was filled Wednesday with relatives and friends at the solemn high mass for Miss Dorothy Ormsby. The Rev. E. J. Dougherty, celebrant, Father Ormsby, deacon, Father Boher, sub deacon, Father O'Donnell, master of ceremonies. Dean P.S. O'Connor, Mason City, and Father Collins were in sancutary.

Miss Ormsby, in company with her father, were returning, from Chicago Sunday evening when she met her death in an auto collision near Manchester. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Ormsby west of town and was a graduate of St. Patrick's high school in the class of 1930.
For the past three years she had been working at Mercy hospital in Mason City. She leaves her parents and two sisters, Mrs Frank Scholl of Rockewll, Lucille at home. Pallbearers were Frank, Joe and Jim Sweeney, Clark and Will Dougherty and Leo Mullen. Burial was in Catholic cemetery at Dougherty.
