Falls Into Washing Machine Filled With Boiling Water.
Death came to the little three-year-old daughter of J. P. Johnson from the effects of burns, the result of falling into a washing machine of boiling water. The family lives east of Nora Springs. The mother was preparing to do some washing, and had poured two pailsful of boiling water into a tub and had returned to the stove for a third, when the screams of her child attracted her attention. The little one had fallen in head first, burning her head and one side of her body seriously. The baby lived but a few hours.
