JAMES V. CAMPBELL, 60, DIES FOLLOWING A LINGERING
ILLNESS.
Funeral Rites to Be Monday Morning at St. Joseph's Church.

James V. Campbell 60, died at a local hospital Thursday evening after a lingering illness. He had been a resident of Mason City for about 35 years.
Mr. Campbell was born at Rockwell, Feb. 19, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mr. Frank Campbell. He received his education in the schools at Rockwell and was graduated from Loras College, Dubuque, in 1909.

For 20 years he traveled for the Lynch and McGee Grain company. His last occupation was bailff of district court. He was married to Johanna Murphy, Sept. 26, 1923, at St. Joseph's Catholic church.

Surviving are his wife, Johanna, a sister, Lydia Campbell, and a brother Emmet Campbell, both of Rockwell, and a niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Vincent Campbell, who died March 10, 1946, and by a sister, Sister Electa, and a brother David Campbell.

He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic church, the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
The body will lie in state at the Meyer funeral home until the services Monday at 9 a.m.
at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rosary will be said at the Meyer funeral home by the Holy Name Society at 8 p.m., Friday, by the Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m. Saturday, by the St. Joseph's Tabernacle Society Sunday at 4 p.m.
and the Parish Rosary will be said Sunday at 8 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery.
The Meyer funeral home in charge.
