Mary Mullen Dead

Mary Agnes Mullen was born February 6, 1889 and died November 1, 1916, aged 27 years 8 months and 25 days.

It is the writer's sad mission to be called upon this week to chronicle the death of Miss Mary Mullen.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mullen, Sr. and that she should be taken away from them so early in life is a blow to father and mother, brother and sister that only time will erase.
She was well known and loved and respected by all who knew her.
Many sad hearts there were when the news of her death was learned here as all who knew her were close friends, she having lived here all her life, and many tear-dimmed eyes there were when the body was lowered into the grave.
The broken-hearted parents and relatives over one today whose place cannot be refilled in their homes.

She had many favorites among the younger people who will lose a true friend and neighbor, and they all mourn her loss as a friend, but the relatives- it is they who are called upon to bear a loss with deepest grief.

Mary Mullen is no more on earth but is up in heaven with the angels on that golden shore where all is sunshine and rest. She has departed from this earths life after only three days illness with la-grippe, but up there beyond the clouds she has gone to the angels who called her away.

Deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mullen Sr., three brothers, Robert, John and James, one sister, Maggie Mullen, two sisters, Hannah and Janey having preceded her to the other shore.

The funeral was held at St. Patrick's church Friday November 3, and interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family in their sorrow.
