John Mullen, 67, Succumbs

Funeral Rites to Be at Dougherty Friday

John Mullen 67, who resided at 27 1/2 First Street Southeast, died at a local hospital, Wednesday morning about 2 o'clock, following a stroke.
He had been a resident of Mason City about 10 years.

Mr. Mullen was born in Franklin County, Feb 22, 1876. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1920, and by one sister, Mrs. Dan Dougherty.

Surviving are four sons, Robert W.and Raymond J.
serving in the Army, and Martin F. and Walter C.
serving in the Navy, and one daughter, Mrs. Viola Crowe of Mason City, two grandchildren, Robert and John Crowe.

Three brothers, Walter Mullen, Mason City, Charles Mullen, Dougherty, and Dan Mullen, Dougherty, and three sisters, Mrs. Mike McGee, Mrs. H. H. Abegg, and Mrs Barney Dougherty, all of Dougherty, also survive as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Dougherty, Friday morning.
The Hogan Funeral Home of Dougherty in charge.
