LUCAS SEEBECK

Lucas John Seebeck, 27, of North Liberty, Iowa died suddenly at home of a heart attack on Sunday May 2, 2010.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 6, 2010 at the Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church, 340 20th St. S.W., Mason City, Iowa with Rev. Jack Vanden Heuvel officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa. Family suggests memorials to Lucas John Seebeck memorial fund.

Lucas was born July 12, 1982 in Britt, Iowa, the son of Charles and Tina (Mulhern) Seebeck. He attended school in Wesley and then moved to Clear Lake where he graduated from Clear Lake High School in 2000.

Following high school he moved to Summit County in Colorado where he built log homes. He enjoyed hiking and snowboarding in the mountains. He later moved back to Iowa to do construction, so he could be closer to his daughter and family.

His favorite past time was playing basketball, volleyball and spending time with his family and friends. Lucas made friends everywhere he went and touched many lives. He lived everyday to the fullest.

He is survived by his father, Chuck (Gail) Seebeck, Clear Lake, Iowa; his mother, Tina M. (Robert) Hudspeth, Garner, Iowa; daughter, Emma Clabaugh, Marion Iowa; siblings, Dani (Aaron) Sauerbrei, Readlyn, Iowa, Samantha Peterson, Des Moines, Iowa, Michael Peterson, Clear Lake, Iowa, Tara (Dave) Rochleau, Whittemore, Iowa, Tim (Melissa) Hudspeth, Bouton, Iowa and Todd Hudspeth, Storm Lake, Iowa; maternal grandmother, Alice Mulhern, Mason City, Iowa; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Duke. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Fred Mulhern and paternal grandparents, Charles and Marian Seebeck.
