Mrs Ann Gorman Dead

Mrs. Ann Gorman died June 30th, 1905 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Smith in Dougherty, aged 91 years.

She was born in Ireland, and with her husband and children located in Dougherty township about a quarter of a century ago.

Her husband Michael Gorman, preceded her to the Better Land several years ago.

Five children are left to mourn her death: Mesdames J. B. McGaheran, J.H. Smith, and James Dougherty Jr. and Mr. Peter Gorman and Mr. Thomas Gorman of Auburn.

While bereft of earth's choicest blessing these children have every reason to be thankful for her long and holy life and that she fought a good fight and kept the faith, and is now in possession of that rest and peace that comes to all those who trust in the promises of the Son of Man.

The funeral was held in St. Patrick's church in Dougherty at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, and burial made in the cemetery at that place.
