PIONEER DIES AT DOUGHERTY (1944)

Mrs Barbara Forrett to Be Buried Tuesday

Dougherty- One of the oldest pioneers, Mrs. Barbara Forrett, died at the home in Dougherty, Sunday at 2:20 o'clock a.m. at the age of 84 years.

Mrs. Forrett was born in Dubuque County, Key West, March 27, 1860, and came to Cerro Gordo county with her husband in 1895, settling on a farm three miles north-west of town.

Surviving are four daughters and two sons, Mrs Ann Campbell, Mrs. Roy Holding, Mrs. Barney Campbell and Mrs. Margaret Mullin; two sons, Bernard and John Forrett all of Dougherty.

There are twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Four grandsons are in the service.

Funeral services will be held in St. Patrick's church in Dougherty Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, the Rev. J. Hamill officiating.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery beside her husband and one daughter.
