September 29, 2018Charles City – Carla Sue Martzahl-Draheim, 52, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday (September 26, 2018) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Private family services have been held. Burial was in Mason City [Memorial Park Cemetery]. Memorials may be given to Carla Sue Martzahl-Draheim Memorial Fund, % Dakota Draheim.
Carla was born September 26, 1966 at Mason City, a daughter of Ernest and Joy (Tenney) Martzahl. She attended Clear Lake schools, graduating from Clear Lake High School in 1985. She received an Associate in Arts degree from NIACC.
She loved helping children, she served the community as a camp coordinator with Camp Courage for several years.
Her life was centered on her family, she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included, crafts, cooking, and caring for her cats.
Survivors include her mother, Joy Martzahl, Burchinal; six sons, Scott (Ashlie Sveum) Martzahl, Osage, Nicholas (Jennifer) Draheim, Ackley, Bryan (Desiree Kephart) Draheim, Mason City, Dakota (Lonnie England) Draheim, New Hampton, Cameron (Emily) Draheim, Algona, Shelby Draheim, Buffalo Center; ten grandchildren, Joslin Smith, Anakin Martzahl, Zoey Martzahl, Dominic Draheim, Mikka Draheim, Jaydyn Draheim, Chloe Draheim, Vivian Draheim, Isabelle Draheim, Roxos England; Siblings, Stephen (Jane) Martzahl, Seymour, WI, Ronald Martzahl, Larsen, WI; James Martzahl, Mason City; Regina Nack, Grafton; Loretta Martzahl, Huxley; Peggy (Terry) Larkin, Kenyon, MN; a special aunt/godmother, Sue Schroeder, Appleton, WI; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest, her husband, Storm, maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles.
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
