EDWARD DICKINSON, FARMER DIES

Succumbs at Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota - Edward Dickinson, farmer, who resided northwest of Mason City, died at a hospital at Rochester, Minn. early Friday morning following a lingering illness. Surviving are his wife and two sons, John Dickinson and Earl Dickinson, farmers, residing northwest of Mason City. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Major funeral home is in charge.

Edward Dickinson Services to Be on Monday Afternoon
Rites to Be Held at Local Funeral Chapel; Burial in Elmwood

Funeral services for Edward Dickinson, 70, who died at a hospital in Rochester, Minn., early Friday morning, following a lingering illness, will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Major Memorial chapel, with the Rev. H. M. Raecker, pastor of the Grace Evangelical church, Manly in charge.

Mr. Dickinson was born Sept 25, 1872, at Dodgeville, Wis. [the son of Jonathan & Marion (Reid) Dickinson]. He resided at the farm home until he attended the University of Wisconsin. On March 12, 1894 he was married to Miss Mina Gorder at the farm home near Dodgeville. They remained there eight years until moving to Springdale, Wis. where they resided two years before moving northwest of Mason City.

Surviving Mr. Dickinson are his wife, two sons, Jonathan C. and Earl L. Dickinson, residing on farms northwest of Mason City; three grandchildren, Marian, Merle and Carroll Dickinson and four brothers: Charles Dickinson, Dodgeville, Wis.; Samuel Dickinson, Augusta, Wis.; and William Dickinson, Mineral Point, Wis. and David Walker, Spring Green, Wis., and a sister, Agnes Heibel, Leola, S. Dak.

Mr. Dickinson was a member of the Masonic lodge, the Woodman and the Eastern Star.

The body will lie in state at the Major funeral home until the time of services.

Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery. The Major funeral home in charge.
