ROCKWELL — Deborah Jean (Scholl) Check, 32, of Lakeville, Minn., formerly of Rockwell, died Friday (Dec. 26, 1997) at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, Minn. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockwell. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, in Lakeville, and from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Rockwell. Memorials may be given to the John and Deb Check Memorial Foundation, Norwest Bank, 14325 Cedar Ave. S., Apple Valley, Minn. 55124.

Deb Check was born October 30, 1965, in Mason City, the daughter of David and Mary (Cornelius) Scholl of Rockwell. She married John Check on May 12, 1990, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake. Deb grew up in Rockwell and graduated in 1984 from Newman Catholic School. She also was a graduate of North Iowa Area Community College and the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

Deb was a volunteer care partner for the Bone Marrow Unit at Fairview University Hospital. She was employed by the Hilton Hotel and the city of Rosemount, Minn. Deb was full of life and enjoyed being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Kyle Arthur and Benjamin Check; her parents, David and Mary Scholl, Rockwell; one sister, Kathleen, and her husband, Jay Siefken, Rockwell; three brothers, Gregory, Rockwell, Timothy and his wife, Lisa, Mason City, and John and his wife, Stephanie, Ankeny; two nieces, Sadie and Mattie; two nephews, Jeremy and Sam, Rockwell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Ruth Scholl, Rockwell, and Earl and Rosetta Cornelius, Mason City.
