MASON CITY - Zaine Nikolaus Buss, infant son of Nikolaus Buss and Stacy Crooks of Mason City, died Friday (Aug. 13, 1999) at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Towner of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Major-Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. The family suggests memorials to the Zaine Nikolaus Buss Memorial Fund.

Zaine is survived by his parents, Nik Buss and Stacy Crooks of Mason City; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Darcia Crooks of Mason City; paternal grandparents, Tim and Diane Buss of Mason City; maternal great-grandparents, Harold and Glatha Hedges of Jefferson, and Hazel Crooks of Scranton; paternal great-grandparents, Kathy Morel of Mason City, Richard Morel of New London, Minn., and Luther and Dorothy Buss of Mason City; uncles, Kris and Zach Buss of Mason City, and Wade Crooks of Mason City; aunt, Hillary Crooks; and several great aunts and uncles.

Zaine was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Cleo Crooks, and his great-uncle, Brad Morel.
