Mrs. Flora Armstrong, 77, Plymouth, widow of Charles L. Armstrong, died at a local hospital Tuesday morning [April 17, 1951], following an illness. She had been a lifelong resident of Plymouth.
Mrs. Armstrong was born Nov. 26, 1873, in Worth county near Plymouth.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Hazel Armstrong, Plymouth, and Mrs. Maybelle Novak, Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Frank Holub, Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, Fred Allen, Grand Rapids, Minn., and Ed Allen, Plymouth; and two grandchildren, Jay Armstrong, Dallas, Texas, and Miss Leona Novak, Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her husband a week ago [April 11, 1951] and by a son.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at the First Methodist church at Plymouth, with the Rev. George Scheider officiating. Friends may call at the Patterson-James Chapel from Tuesday evening until Thursday noon.
The body will lie in state at the First Methodist church in Plymouth from 1 p. m. until the time of services. Burial will be at the Plymouth cemetery. The Patterson-James funeral home is in charge.
