Services to Be at Church on FridayBernard (Bert) Logan, 78, died at the Rockwell hospital late Wednesday afternoon.
He was a retired farmer who has lived at Rockwell the last six years and had been a resident of
Cerro Gordo County 39 years.Mr. Logan was born Jan. 28, 1874, at Parkersburg, the son of Michael and Catherine Logan.
He spent most of his life in the Dougherty community until he retired and moved to Rockwell.He was married to Anna Geary May 9, 1905, at Williams.
Surviving are his wife, three sons, Edward of Houston, Texas, Father Leo Logan of Hanover,
and Walter of Rockwell, five daughters, Mrs Walter Warner, Mason City; Mrs. Jim Wray, Anabel, Mo.; Mrs Emil Jorgenson, Dougherty; Miss Alice Logan, Rockwell, and Mrs George (Gladys)
Karamitrous, Mason City.A brother, Milford Logan, Dougherty and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Murphy, Williams, and Mrs
Annie Murphy, Webster City, and 20 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bernard.Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at
Rockwell, with Father Leo L. Logan, his son as celebrant.The Rosary will be said at the Logan residence at Rockwell at 8 p.m. Thursday. The body will
lie in state there until the time of services.Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery at Dougherty.
The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
