CLEAR LAKE --Funeral services for Mrs. S.S. Hudson, 70, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church. The Rev. W.R. Noland, Estherville, now on vacation at St. Louis, will return to his former pastorate at Clear Lake to officiate at the services of his former neighbor. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Hudson died suddenly Sunday at a Mason City hospital.
Grace Grove Hudson, was born Oct. 31, 1886, at Stillwater, Okla., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Grover. She grew to womanhood in the vicinity and was married at Burt Nov. 28, 1906, to Sumner S. Hudson.
Mr. Hudson, who died in September 1956, was buttermaker for 10 years at Titonka and for 10 years at Clear Lake. They came to Clear Lake 37 years ago. Besides her two sons, she is survived by three sisters. She was a member of the AmVet Auxiliary, Eastern Star and the Methodist Church.
