S.S. Hudson, 69, Succumbs
CLEAR LAKE-- S.S. Hudson, 69, 109 N. 5th St., died Sunday afternoon at a Mason City hospital following an illness [heart attack in August]. He had been in failing health for about two years.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Sumner Jr., Auburn, Wash., and Russell O., San Francisco, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. W.R. Noland officiating. The Ward Funeral Home is in charge.
Sumner S. Hudson was born March 17, 1887, in Clayton County. He grew to manhood in Kossuth Counth and on Nov. 28, 1906, was married to Grace Grover at Burth.
He served as buttermaker for 10 years at Titonka and for 10 years at Clear Lake. He also was a salesman for a number of years. He retired about two years ago.
