L.Campbell Service at Dougherty (July 22, 1959)
Lester Campbell, 52, manager of the Farmers Coop Elevator at Dougherty for 25 years, died Wednesday evening at a Mason City hospital following a heart attack.
Mr. Campbell was born March 5, 1907, at Dougherty, son of James and Anna (Forrett) Campbell. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy in World War II.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Dougherty and the Knights of Columbus Council 1006 of Mason City.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys; two sons, James Campbell, Denver, Colo. and Bernard Campbell at home; two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Barbara) Sewald, Mason City, and Mary Campbell, Denver, Colo.
Three brothers, Manuel and Robert Campbell, Dougherty and Alvin Campbell, Mason City also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Dougherty. The Rev. Raymond Boher, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell, will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery at Dougherty. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
