L. G. Cain rites in church

Solemn requiem high Mass was celebrated for Lawrence G. Cain, 52, Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul J. Mcquire was celebrant and also gave the sermon.

Mr. Cain, retired steward of the Cerro Gordo County Farm died Monday at his home at the farm.

Deacon was the Rev. R. S. Bohrer, pastor of Scared Heart Church, Rockwell; subdeacon, the Rev. Francis Campbell, Portland, Ore. John Andregg was master of ceremonies, Vincent Shade, crossbearer, Michael Rothamel, thurifer and Thomas Rafferty and Willis Fitzgerald, acolytes.

Honorary pallbearers were Frank Lewis, Walter Jackson, Carlos Galindo, Russell Legreid, Jacob Snyder and Roscoe Cain.
Pallbearers were Ambrose, Joseph and John Rooney, Robert and Thomas Kelly and Harold Gallagher.

Ushers at the church were Raymond Donnelly and Edward Murphy. Mrs. John L. Dogherty and Loretta Cross were in charge of flowers.

Officals and members of the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse staff, the Board of Supervisors, the Stewards and Matrons Association of Iowa and other service groups attended the service in groups.

Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty.
Military rites were conducted by the Brislin-Hogan American Legion Post of Dougherty, with Vincent Dolan Commander.

Others participating were Clark Dougherty, Robert Dolan, James Murphy, W. C. Boyle and Louis Van Lent. Bernard McKigney was bugler.
The Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
