Barr Rites Conducted at Church

Funeral Services for Ben Barr, 60, Dougherty farmer who died suddenly following a heart attack Sunday evening, were held Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Dougherty.

Requiem High Mass was offered by Father Paul J. Mcquire, celebrant.
Altar boys were John Cunningham and two sons of Mr. Barr, Joseph and Jerome Barr.
Members of St. Patrick's school choir sang.

Attending the services from out of the city were two sisters, Mrs. Eva Bickford, Sioux Falls S. Dak. and Mrs Charles E. Snipps, Mason City; Mr and Mrs Edward Barr, Muskeegan, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barr and son, Johnny, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Doering and family Mason City.
Lt. and Mrs J. V. Barr, Bryan Texas; Miss Katie Bamrick, Mason City; Mrs. John Accurso, Austin, Minn.; Mrs Merrill Balek, Mason City; Mrs Frank Breitbach, Dubuque; Mrs Robert Skyles; Galesburg, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Price, Mason City; Mrs Emmett Wood, Farley, Iowa; Mr.and Mrs. Vincent Dolan, Waterloo.

Mrs Harold Murphy, Ryan, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. James Bamrick and family, Rockwell; Mr. and Mrs. DeWitte Mallory, Hampton; Mrs. C. Worley and Mrs. Lyle Moorehead, Greene; Mrs. Bob Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Papps, Cartersville.
Mr and Mrs Harry Arnolds and Jean; Nellie McLaughlin, Mrs. George Kelsh, Mrs Tubbesing, Mrs. Henry Wandry, all of Mason City.
Pallbearers were Ed Dougherty, Earl Campbell, Russell Anderegg, Walter McGee, Redmond McManus and Emile Soucek.

Interment was at St. Patrick's cemetery at Dougherty. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
