Man at Dougherty Succumbs Following Lingering Illness.

Dougherty - Funeral Services were held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock for Bern Smith, 69, who died Thursday night following a lingering illness.
Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery here.

He is survived by eight children, Mrs. John Cunningham and Joe Smith of Dougherty; Mrs Clint Adams of Rockford, Rose and Agnes of Mason City; Bill, Frank and Mrs Harry Steele of Sacramento, Cal., one sister, Mrs. Bill Penny of Mason City and one brother, Bill of Rockwell.
