Mrs. M. Reed Rites to Be Held Tuesday

Mrs Mary Ann Reed, 88, died at her farm home near Dougherty early Sunday morning following a lingering illness. She had been a resident of the vicinity 54 years. Mrs Reed was born Feb. 8, 1864, at Charlotte, the daughter of Patrick and Ann Murphy.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Arthur Ryan, Ramson, Ill., Mrs Kathryn Conners, Dougherty and the Missess Ella and Anna Reed, Dougherty; two sisters, Mrs Fred Fisher and Miss Agnes Murphy, Waterloo, and a brother, Peter Murphy, Traer.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Frank and Thomas.

Mrs Reed was a member of the Catholic Order of Lady Foresters, St. Patrick's Altar Society, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty.
The Rosary will be held at 9 p.m. Monday at the farm home. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
