MASON CITY -- Robert Graham Gartland, 71, of 2315 Clark St., Des Moines, formerly of Mason City, died Saturday (July 27, 1996) at the Iowa Veteran's Home, Marshalltown.

His body was cremated. There will be no visitation. Hogan Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, 1224 S. Washington Ave.

Robert G. Gartland was born May 12, 1925 in Sioux City, the son of Leon Rodier and Bernice (Graham) Gartland.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Bruce Hackley of Des Moines; and one sister, Helen Campbell of Bradenton, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Other arrangements are incomplete at Hogan-Bremer Colonail Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. Mason City.
