Mildred L. Gage, 82, a former Mason City resident, died Tuesday (Jan. 16, 1996) at St. Luke's Southshore Hospital, Cudahy, Wis.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 125 E. State St., Mason City, with the Rev. Ron Stein officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.

The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church or the Gage Family Scholarship Fund, North Iowa Area Community College Foundation.

Mildred was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of Elmer and May (Conley) MaGee. Mildred graduated from Mason City High School. She married Edgar S. Gage on Oct. 17, 1936, and they established their home in Mason City at that time. Mildred was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and served as a deaconess and Sunday school teacher. She was past president of Church Women United, Hearthstone Club and the Chautauqua Study Club.

Survivors include two sons, Jon Gage and his wife, Joy, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Alan Gage and his wife, Judy, of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Dorothy Mitchell of Mexico, Mo.; grandchildren, David of Milwaukee, Wis.; Daniel of Manitowoc, Wis.; Jennifer of Eugene, Ore.; Jeremy, Jessica, Melinda and Meridith, all of Seattle, Wash.; one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, in May of 1995; her parents; and one brother.
