MASON CITY -- Colleen A. Jorgensen, 63, of 806 N. Adams Ave., died Wednesday (Oct. 16, 1996) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First nited Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Ave., with the Rev. Merlin Ackerson and the Rev. Sharon Betsworth officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Colleen A. Jorgensen Memorial Fund.

Colleen Jorgensen was born April 5, 1933, in Glendon, the daughter of James and Florence (DuPuy) Mains.

Colleen married Kenneth Jorgensen on July 7, 1951, at Guthrie Center.

Colleen worked 23 years at the North Iowa Area Community College bookstore.

She was a charter member and past president of the Government Postal Employees Union Auxiliary.

Colleen was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Sarah Circle as well as the Friday morning Bible study group.

Colleen was involved in scouting leadership for 14 years, enjoyed historical home tours, dolls and doll houses, crafts, reading, poetry, camping, and being with her family, because her family was always first.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jorgensen of Mason City; daughters, Pam Gessford and her husband, Dick, of Friendship, Md.; Pat Repp and her husband, Mark, of Mason City, and Peggy Schultz and her husband, Kevin, of Mason City; sons, Ken Jorgensen II and his wife, Debbie, of Mason City, and Curt Jorgensen and his wife, Holly, of Mason City; 10 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; brothers, Louis, Bill, George, Ward and Frank; sisters, Alberta and Emmy; and many nieces and nephews; as well as a very close friend, Marlene Oswood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
