Inez M. Hubbard, 90, Mason City, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 25, 2005, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302-5th Street SE, Mason City, with Reverend Michael J. Podhajsky officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a scriptural wake service at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126-3rd Street NE, Mason City.

The family of Inez M. Hubbard has requested that memorial contributions be made to the music department at the Newman Catholic High School in her memory.

Inez M. Hubbard was born on September 20, 1914, in Ewing, Missouri, the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Spath) Klocke. She graduated from Sioux Falls, South Dakota High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Hubbard on October 7, 1939, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1999. Inez was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and also worked as a seamstress for The Side Door in Mason City.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking, but her great love and enjoyment was her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was a long standing member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Bob Hubbard and his wife Ria of Mason City, and Karen Werle of Mason City; four grandchildren; Julie Udelhofen and her husband Jim, Lisa Easley and her husband Dan, Kris Wolf and her husband Jim, and Andy Hubbard and his wife Cheryl all of Mason City; ten great-grandchildren; Amy Helgeland and her husband Jess, Maggie and Rocky Moyer, Lucas, Emily and Nicholas Udelhofen, Serena and Blake Easley, and Amara and Jacob Wolf; three great-great-grandchildren; Makenna Anderson and Noah and Abigayle Helgeland; a brother, Gene Sherman and his wife Betty of Clear Lake; two brothers-in-law; Duane Jewell of Mason City, and Andrew Hubbard and his wife Rose of Chicago, Illinois; several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband Robert, and her parents, her two sisters, Alta Bourrie and JoAnn Jewell, also preceded her in death.
