Mason City -- F. Erin Hubbard, 94, of Apple Valley, MN and formerly of Mason City, died on March 12, 2006 of Pneumonia.

A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, (March 15, 2006) at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N Adams, Mason City with Rev. Monsignor Joseph J. Slepicka, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. A luncheon will be served at Holy Family Catholic Church after the graveside services.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, (March 14, 2006) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, where a scriptural wake service will be held at 6 P.M.

Erin was born May 16, 1911 in Roundup, MT to Dave and Anna (Hearity) Ryan. She attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Mason City High School in 1929. She obtained a degree from the College of Nursing at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in 1932. She practiced general duty nursing at both of the local hospitals, private duty nursing, and office nurse for several local prominent physicians. She retired from her nursing career at Armour in 1976. Erin married the love of her life, Joseph Hubbard on April 23, 1932. Together they were blessed with 5 children, Dave, Jerry, Jody, Marge and Mike.

Erin was a very devoted wife and mother who also had a profound passion for her nursing profession and was well respected by professionals in the medical community. She deeply loved Ireland and anything relating to her Irish heritage. She instilled a love of all things Irish to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Hubbard and his wife, Rita of Terrebonne, OR, Mike Hubbard and his wife, Sue of Anderson, SC., and her daughters, Jody Wilson of Prior Lake, MN, and Marge Decklever and her husband Larry of Lakeville, MN. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Louis, her parents, Dave and Anna Ryan, her sister, Mary Budke, and her son, David Joseph.
