Rosella Mae "Sally" Frampton, the daughter of Harry and Esther (Svendsen) Nelson was born Nov. 20, 1935, on Church Hill Farm near Fiscus. She grew up on Church Hill Farm and attended Polk #7 country school through eighth grade and then graduated from Harlan High School in 1954.

She received her registered nursing degree from the Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing in 1957 at Council Bluffs and then her B.S. degree from Omaha University at Omaha, Neb.

On June 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to Jerome W. Frampton at Merrills Grove Baptist Church in Fiscus. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union. They lived in Minneapolis, Minn., for two years, Waverly for 17 years, and Clear Lake for 18 years.

Sally devoted her life to her husband, family, and to her faith in Jesus Christ. Together Sally and Jerome shared many special vacations in Colorado. Through flower arranging, music, crafts (sewing, cornhusk dolls and miniatures), cooking and baking, she touched the lives of many people. Church activities included playing the piano and organ, leading Bible studies, serving on boards, and teaching children's Sunday school classes, for which she received the National Sunday School Teacher of the Year Award in 1967.

Sally's passion for teaching piano for over 30 years to hundreds of students lives on through the lives of her students. Her dedication to music education led to earning a Master Teacher Certification from the Iowa Music Teacher's Association in 1994.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Clear Lake. Other organizations of which she was a member include the Iowa Music Teacher's Association, Music Teacher's National Association, Music Teacher's of North Iowa and the Waverly Garden Club.

Sally will be truly missed by her husband, Jerome W. Frampton, of Clear Lake; four children, Steven Frampton and his wife, Lisa, of Woodbury, Minn.; Mark Frampton and his wife, Renee, of Parker, Colo.; Susan Hjelseth and her husband, Richard, of St. Paul, Minn., and Julie Anderson and her husband, Dennis, of Wheaton, Ill.; one granddaughter, Carlie Alyn Frampton; two sisters, Bonnie Burton and her husband, Robert, of Irwin; and Luetta Moore of Harlan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Greeting her in heaven are her beloved parents, Harry and Esther Nelson.
