MRS DOUGHERTY SERVICES HELD
RITES CONDUCTED AT DOUGHERTY CHURCH

Requiem High Mass was celebrated for Mrs. Anna W. Dougherty, 90, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty, Wednesday, with the Rev. Gerald Dougherty, O.S.M. son of Mrs Dougherty celebrant.
The sermon was offered by the Rev. Edward Calkins, O.S.M. of Chicago, Ill. with the Rev. Paul J. McGuire pastor of St. Patrick's Church of Dougherty assisting.
The Rt. Rev. E. J. Dougherty, the Rt. Rev. Leo Jaeger, the Rt. Rev. J. P. Murphy, all of Waterloo, and the Rt. Rev. F. P. Mulligan, Dubuque were in the sanctuary.
Acolytes were Donovan Staudt and Donald Staudt. The Cross bearer was Max Marzen.

The clergy attending the services were the Rev. Robert Ormsby, Belmond; the Rev. E. J. O'Hagen, Oelwein; the Rev. Vincent Merfeld, Cedar Falls; the Rev. Leo O'Connell, Britt; the Rev. Emmett Kelly, New Hampton; the Rev. Justin Kane, Dubuque; the Rev. V. Leonard, Waterloo, and the Rev. W. Powers, New Hampton.
Many sisters of Charity, B.V.M. from Tama, Boone, Waterloo and Mason City attended the service.
Relatives attending the services from out of the city were Mrs Margaret Couglin, Cavur, S. Dak.; Miss Bea Wade, Mrs Mary Garden, Clem Wade, Raymond Walsh, Raymond McCarthy, Mrs Margaret McDonnell, Mrs. Irene Rafferty, John Hayes,Sr., and Mrs Harry Boysen, Miss Mary Dougherty, Mr. and Mrs James Dougherty, Charles Dougherty, Mrs Lloyd Lewis, Sister St. Gerald and companion all of Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs Joseph Dougherty, Portland, Ore., Daniel B. Dougherty, Provo, Utah; Mrs Nellie Ramker, Chicago; Mrs Belle McGrath, Mason City; Mrs Anne Stuart, Dubuque, and R. S. Marshall, Dan McEnirey, Des Moines.
Many friends from Mason City, Rockwell and Green also attended the services.

Pallbearers were Ray McCarty, Bob Dougherty, Everett Dougherty, E. G. Dougherty, James Dougherty, Clem F. Wade, Daniel Gallagher and Francis Gallagher.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Dougherty. The Colonial Funeral Home in charge.
